You have to budget and be aware of the climate where you build your park, or the plants and animals won't survive. SimPark is educational, fun, and fascinating. This demo lets you explore most of the features but is limited to 10 minutes of play per session.
SimSafari
SimSafari brings SimCity realism, creativity, randomness, and education to the African wilderness. This demo lets you build a safari park by populating it with animals, birds, and reptiles, and then landscaping it with trees, shrubs, and water. As you work, the animals roam and the sounds of wildlife resound. Remember that carnivores feed on smaller animals and that herbivores need plants for both food and shelter. You can add water, but it is expensive. Disasters can strike, and money is a factor. The full game adds a native village, tourist activities, and an ecologist to help your decision making. Children and adults will learn about ecology as they're entertained. The demo is self-contained and requires no installation or modification of system files.

Dinosaur Predators 4.0
Play the "Jurassic Dinosaur" game to give "Dinosaur Predators" a test run. The demo teaches kids about the differences in carnivores and herbivores. They can choose from 17 dinosaurs who are trying to get home to their families. There is dangerous ground to cover on the way home, so smaller animals are easier prey and therefore make up the hardest game level. Although some dinos are really big, they are less aggressive and slower to move so are also amazingly easy prey. Choose dinosaurs carefully, because the only one who doesn't have to worry about predators is big, nasty T-Rex, himself!
Look and Listen Dinosaurs

MOPy Fish
A freeware screensaver that is also a pet! The MOPy fish was designed to look and act like a real fish. Since MOPy is likely to become another family member in the near future, you may want to pick a good name. At first your MOPy fish has only food. If you take proper care of him, you will earn spending points that will "buy" him extras. Bubbles with sound, a plant, and special food are a few bonuses. With time your fish will even develop a personality. If you play with him by clicking on the "glass", he will respond. He actually remembers his treatment, because he will sulk in a corner when unhappy. One user states that their fish "remembers his feeding time and pouts if he doesn't get it immediately." For a screensaver, a pet, or a pal- MOPy is a must have. It doesn't take much time to download, and doesn't cost a thing. With all this fun, simplicity, and versatility- MOPy is a splashing success!

Putt Putt has saved the day!
Animaniacs River Adventure
The Animaniacs have gone out in a canoe and gotten lost. It's your job to traverse the maze to find them in their northward camp. Problem is, the sun is going down - so you need to hurry, and you might not always reach them in time. You also need a good sense of direction, although the map and compass will help.
Magic School Bus - In the Age of the Dinosaurs
The Magic School Bus zaps back in time to the Mesazoic Era. They are even taking along passengers. How are there pictures of dinosaurs, if no one has ever really seen them? Players can find out while they're helping paleontologists everywhere by piecing together the puzzle-like fragments of our fossilized friends. Put the bones in the right places to recreate a Plateosaurus skeleton. This helps a scientist to see what it probably looked like when it was alive millions of years ago. Help the Herrerasaurus to leave his "impression" on the world. When the puzzle is solved, the dinosaur comes to life, and some facts about that dinosaur are spoken. This game is one of the many games from The Magic School Bus Explores in the Age of Dinosaurs.
Magic School Bus Explores the Human Body
Go inside a human body on the Magic School Bus. Travel the arterial highway to a cardiac pinball adventure. Watch out for the pumping action though, because just when the ball is about to escape a heartbeat may slam shut a valve and shoot the ball back into the same chamber. If the ball doesn't make it out in time, then watch out for the sound effects, they're not very pleasant.
Magic School Bus Explores the Dinosaurs
If you ever wondered how hard it is to be a dinosaur, then why not give it a try? Pick a dino to start the "Meteor Meltdown" game. Both are herbivores, but one is tough and the other is fast, so choose wisely. Move fast and grab all the food, because the trail to the top is on a volcano, and meteors are shooting down from the sky. Dodge the meteors at all cost, or your dinosaur will get thumped! If players make it to the top and eat all the food, they will advance to the next level. As levels progress, the meteors speed up, the steps start moving, and water will rise from the bottom of the screen. Wow, if this is life as a dinosaur, it's no wonder they are extinct!
Magic School Bus Explores the Rainforest
The night time is the best time to learn about "stratification". The Magic School Bus will take you on an ecologically challenging journey. Ms Frizzle and her group travel to a Costa Rican Rainforest where they explore the different layers of the jungle. Players can help by identifying an animal and placing it where it belongs: in the lower branches, in the canopy, or on the ground. If an animal looks unusual, a click on it will provide a clue. Start slow and work up to a stupendously speedy game!
Magic School Bus Explores Inside the Earth
Travel into the center of the planet on the Magic School Bus and see what causes molten rock to explode to the surface. Volcanoes erupt in different ways because of changes in temperature and gaseous content. This game provides the controls for gas and temperature so the player can decide the type of volcano. Will it erupt like Mount St. Helens or the Hawaiian Volcanoes? Will there be a caldera or a cinder cone? Take hold of the levers and create a blast!
Magic School Bus Explores the Human Body
Join the frizzy, little Ms. Frizzle on a fabulous new field trip. Bus through the spectacular systems of the human body, and hang on as the Magic School Bus shrinks to cellular size! As part of the peculiar assignment, students must learn to properly pronounce terms that relate to human health and happiness. Ms. Frizzle will form the words by separate syllables- showing a picture and saying the sound. The student must pick out the puzzle pieces and put the word together. Some terms are tough, like "esophagus" and "microscope". But others are easier, like "dreaming". There is something for everyone to learn, and kids will pick up phonics training and pronunciations while learning the ins and outs of the human body.
Magic School Bus Explores the Rainforest
Go cruising through the canopy with a monkey who is on the loose. Hop from a tree to a rock ledge and help the mad monkey escape safely from the jungle. Watch out for not-so-friendly animals, and objects from above which will hurt if they hit you! Be terribly careful while cruising, because one bad step may bring Mr. Monkey crashing to the ground!
Magic School Bus Explores the Ocean
Take another trip with the Magic School Bus! This time they are going to the beach. It's a really great beach that can be visited in a computer, and the tide never comes in and washes away an incomplete work of art. The prime castle-building sand never falls apart during construction and the options are far better than the typical shape of a 99 cent, plastic bucket. Build a castle or a Mayan temple. There are also pieces that make an expanse of sand into the setting for a drama about Cleopatra. Choosing the perfect door for a humble cathedral can be a hard choice, but a cheerful cartoon may appear in a door or window in appreciation of their new home. The combinations are endless and every attempt will produce a unique architectural creation.
Magic School Bus - Crab Chase Game
Ride the Magic School Bus on a field trip to the beach and check out the tough life of a crab. Scuttle around the sand picking up tasty little clams, but beware of the birds who eat crab for dinner. There are holes in the sand that offer brief respite, but in this game what goes down must come up. Be prepared to pop out of the ground and waddle for dear life! Numerous levels make for hours of play, and even the biggest "kids" will find this entertaining.
Magic School Bus Explores the Solar System
Jet through the Solar System on the Magic Scool Bus. In this game, the player gets to explore the surface of Venus. Bounce around on the alien planet and collect info. This is a terribly difficult job though, because humans can't breathe in that atmosphere. The player has to find oxygen tanks, to extend the air supply. There are dangers along the route, like lava pits and noxious air that must be avoided. Some special items can be found to help on this adventure, but since no human has been to Venus before- who knows what lies ahead?
Zurk's Alaskan Trek
This is just part of one of the games from Zurk's Alaskan Trek, although you can get a peek at what some of the other activities of the program are. One of the outstanding features of Soleil's programs are the graphics, which are like fine paintings in picture books instead of cartoons. Use the scale to compare the weights of some of Alaska's animals. You can try to balance the different animals, or weigh them with pounds or kilograms.
Zurk's Learning Safari
Visit Africa and find the camouflaged animals or put together a puzzle in this little demo. Zurk's Learning Safari is an enjoyable change of pace from all the cartoon graphics most children's software uses.
Zurk's Rainforest Lab
Soleil makes great and unique programs. One of the outstanding features of Soleil's programs are the graphics, which arelike fine paintings in picture books instead of cartoons. Going to their web site will let you see more screen shots and get information about all the activities, which include animated animals and a margay cub that you can walk about the rainforest.

Odell Down Under
Merlin believed that turning Arthur into animals would give him an opportunity to learn about the world from other's eyes. Now all kids have the chance to approach the world as a fish. The problem is that fish Moms don't fix peanut butter sandwiches. The kids are in a world of nature where they have to fight to survive, and they aren't necessarily the biggest thing in the food chain. A fish has to discover by experience what is good food and what is poisonous. Since parasites are throughout the water, they must also decide which of their peers will provide cleaning. If they eat the wrong thing or forget to rid themselves of those pesky parasites, their time in the ocean may be very short. Swim through the coral reef as a shark or hide in the plants as a blowfish. There are unlimited options for a kid of the sea, but this decision determines how you live. Even sharks have enemies (other sharks), and sometimes the tiniest fish are the sneakiest. Learn about the different aquatic creatures before you decide. In this game, as in life, knowledge is the key to survival.
